Commercial Training Director

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Commercial Training Director to lead and shape our global commercial training strategy. This pivotal role will play a crucial part in driving the success of our business by developing and empowering our sales teams.

About the Role

The Commercial Training Director will be responsible for designing and implementing the global commercial training strategy.

• Conduct competence needs analysis, address functional knowledge gaps, and oversee the delivery of impactful training programs

• Collaborate with cross-functional and multicultural teams to enhance sales capabilities and deliver measurable returns on investment

• Ensure a seamless handover as the current director transitions into retirement, building on a strong foundation of success

Location: It’s a hybrid role it can be based in any of the large Essity offices in Europe

What You Will Do

• Design and implement the global commercial training strategy to align with business goals and product innovations

• Develop training solutions that are engaging, scalable, and effective, whether delivered digitally, in-person, or remotely

• Analyze skill gaps to identify training needs and create development plans tailored to the Sales team and other relevant roles

• Manage globally and regionally aligned sales training programs, ensuring they are impactful and deliver clear returns on investment

• Contribute to eLearning and blended learning programs while overseeing all learning activities, curriculum design, and training resources

• Establish sales coaching sessions and foster knowledge-sharing forums for continuous improvement

• Recommend and integrate innovative training methods, such as e-learning and game-based platforms

• Develop KPIs to measure program success, adjust strategies as needed, and manage quarterly and annual training budgets effectively

Who You Are

You bring extensive leadership experience with:

• A strong ability to unite multicultural teams and drive measurable results

• Expertise in commercial training or adult learning, complemented by experience in the healthcare, medical devices, or life sciences industries

• A proven track record of aligning training strategies with business objectives and delivering programs that demonstrate clear value

• Excellent stakeholder management skills, enabling effective collaboration with senior leaders and cross-functional teams

• Resilience and adaptability, allowing you to overcome challenges and maintain focus under pressure

• Fluency in English (additional languages are advantageous)

• Flexibility to travel as required, while being based in Europe
