Head of Product and Tech

The Head of Product and Tech will lead both the product management and technology functions, owning the end-to-end product lifecycle and ensuring Currency.com’s offerings meet the needs of both retail and institutional clients. This role requires a strategic thinker and hands-on leader who can define and deliver a best-in-class crypto trading experience. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, marketing, compliance, and operations, to bring innovative products to market and continuously enhance our platform.

Key Responsibilities:

Product and Technology Strategy and Vision:

*Define and communicate a compelling product and technology vision aligned with the company’s overall mission and growth objectives.

*Stay ahead of industry trends, market developments, and competitive offerings in the crypto and fintech space.

*Develop and execute a technology roadmap to support the company’s product goals and operational scalability

Product and Technology Development:

*Lead the ideation, development, and launch of innovative products, including a crypto spot exchange, crypto card, OTC desk, crypto derivatives exchange, DEX wallet, staking, and lending solutions.

*Oversee the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and high-performance technology solutions.

*Own the product roadmap, ensuring alignment with business priorities and stakeholder needs.

*Prioritize and manage the product backlog, balancing short-term delivery with long-term strategic goals.

*Document and maintain detailed product requirements, ensuring clarity and alignment across teams.

*Collaborate with engineering to define technical requirements, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.

Regulatory and Compliance Collaboration:

*Work closely with compliance and legal teams to ensure all products and technologies meet regulatory standards in various jurisdictions.

*Address the challenges of delivering specific requirements for local markets, considering local regulations and market specifics.

Team Leadership:

*Build, mentor, and lead high-performing product management and technology teams.

*Define team roles and responsibilities, ensuring clear ownership and accountability across product and tech functions.

*Foster a culture of collaboration, ownership, and innovation across product and tech functions.

*Develop professional growth plans for team members, ensuring continuous skill development and alignment with company goals.

*Implement best practices in agile product development, including sprint planning, retrospectives, and iterative delivery.

*Drive cross-functional alignment, ensuring seamless collaboration between product, engineering, marketing, and other teams.

Customer Focus:

*Deeply understand the needs of our retail and institutional clients through data analysis, user feedback, and market research.

*Deliver intuitive, secure, and feature-rich product experiences that drive user satisfaction and engagement.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

*Partner with marketing to develop go-to-market strategies for new products and features.

*Align with business development to identify partnership opportunities that enhance product offerings.

Performance Measurement:

*Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product and technology success and guide iterative improvements.

*Use data-driven insights to make informed decisions and optimize the product roadmap and tech investments.

Qualifications:

*10+ years of experience in product management and technology leadership roles, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership capacity.
