About the role

Job Description

The Area General Manager will have responsibility and lead the teams for all revenue generating operations for Aramark Destinations at Lake Crescent Lodge, Log Cabin Resort, Hurricane Ridge Gift, and the Fairholm Store in the Olympic National Park, Washington. This includes Lodging, retail, food and beverage and recreation. Additional responsibilities include coordinating and leading the facilities team and maintaining the relationship with the client.

COMPENSATION: The salary range for this position is $95,000 to $125,000.  If both numbers in the range are the same, that is that rate that will be paid.  If there is a lower number and higher number, the pay will depend on factors such as an applicant’s skills and qualifications, certain degrees and certifications, prior job experience, market data, and other relevant factors. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant). This is Aramark’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of compensation for this position as of the time of posting.​

If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and Aramark reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time AND FOR ANY REASON, including, BUT NOT LIMITED TO for reasons related to individual performance, Aramark or individual department/team performance, and market factors.​

Job Responsibilities

•    Collaborate with the District Manager and Aramark leadership in the development of strategic and operational plans and efficiently implement and operate these plans
•    Collaborate with clients to understand all regulations and contractual agreements pertaining to the operations
•    Monitor and communicate potential business risks, including weather, to ensure safe operations and adjust business operations as appropriate
•    Manage and own financial P&L and capital budgets
•    Direct and manage procedures and methods to ensure that quality standards are met and maintained in all operations, including Retail Inventories
•    Develop and lead a culture that prioritizes safety and prevention of incidents and injuries. This includes implementing SAFE engagement activities through the Global Metrics Monitor system (GMM), setting standards, educating on tools, monitoring metrics, and recognizing behaviors and achievements.
•    Develop and lead a compliance culture that mitigates financial and legal risk; focus on compliance standard operating procedures, integrity, environmental, and safety
•    Develop and maintain mutually beneficial business relationships with clients; focus on retaining existing business and building base business
•    Evaluate performance results, develop and implement action plans to achieve performance goals for direct reports
•    Hold employees accountable for completing position training, conduct follow-up, and assess training progress of new employees
•    Partner with the District Manager, Director of Operations, and Executive Chef to consistently assess our team and operation for the highest food safety standards.
•    Participate and support the Executive Chef to plan and implement menus as applicable
•    Participate and support Sales and Marketing initiatives of operations in partnership with the Sales and Marketing team
•    Foster a culture of recognition and accountability by applying Aramark's tools and engaging in activities for mentoring and support.
•    Participate in client-facing events, including but not limited to site tours, site inspections, sales meetings, outside sales functions, community involvement groups, and various functions hosted by local community or hospitality-related associations
•    Understand Transportation and work with the Transportation Manager or Supervisor on scheduling to the business needs
•    Run in partnership with DM and HR the employee housing communities, ensuring safe and welcoming operations for all employees
Nonessential functions:
•    Perform other related duties as assigned
•    Perform Manager on Duty (MOD) shifts if the need arises; ensuring the entire team is productive and meeting brand standards

Qualifications

Education:
•    Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Hospitality, Recreation, or a related field, or equivalen
