General Description
HUB Southwest’s Regional Manager, Financial Analytics provides critical data analytics and underwriting guidance and leadership to our Employee Benefits Department and clients that make us a leading sales and service organization in the insurance industry. This role requires an individual who is professional, highly analytical, and who displays drive, determination, and self-motivation.
You will provide guidance through financial strategy including monitoring, analyzing, and strategizing on various aspects of our client’s employee benefits programs. Specific tasks include regularly reviewing team’s work for deliverables and providing direction on ad hoc financial projects. Primarily responsible for supporting and developing the financial analytics team, developing and standardizing tools/templates for the region, and implementing strategic initiatives as directed by HUB International. It is also expected that the manager can lead financial conversations during client and prospect meetings as necessary.

Practice and Technical Knowledge
• Lead and execute delivery of timely, detailed and accurate financial consulting services on a growing block of business to Hub’s clients; particularly their HR and C-suite level representatives
• Understand clients’ insurance objectives and critically analyze and compare cost management solutions to determine suitability. Maintain comprehensive knowledge of carrier products and networks, cost management solutions, various funding mechanisms and other external conditions that may impact our clients
• Assess and enhance regional financial tools, client deliverables, training and resources on an ongoing basis
• Produce and effectively consult on client-facing reporting to include financial reporting and claims utilization, independent underwriting and renewal analysis, renewal projections, IBNR estimation, analysis of medical and pharmacy plan cost dynamics and budgeting
• Measure feasibility of various cost management solutions, use data to project and model outcomes, assess associated risk, and provide recommendations. Leverage actuarial resources and tools appropriately
• Lead in carrier negotiations while managing the overall renewal/marketing process
