SALARY RANGE: $18 - $21/hr  

 

PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT 

  • In conjunction with the Location Manager, assure the smooth and efficient operations of the facility 

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS 

  • Oversee daily operations. 

  • Responsible for scheduling and directing workflow of employees. 

  • Assist the location manager/region manager with all supervisor duties including but not limited to interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. 

  • Provide exceptional customer service. 

  • Assists with the weighing, probing and grading of grain both inbound and outbound. 

  • When applicable develops a strong understanding of grain accounting software system. 

  • When applicable, enters scale tickets, contracts and other documents into grain accounting software system. 

  • Manage material handling, storage, transport and equipment for delivery of products. 

  • Assist with the recording of daily safety checks for operations.  

  • Loads and unloads containers, pallets, or materials and products, safely on/off trucks, trailers, and/or railcars. 

  • Responsible for the oversite of maintenance of the location equipment, grounds and facility. 

  • Schedules maintenance and repairs of vehicles and equipment as requested. 

  • Maintains an appropriate inventory of parts necessary for repairs and maintenance. 

  • Assure proper safety procedures are being followed in order to stay compliant.   

  • Ability to work extended hours as business conditions warrant.                                                    

  • Attends all required meetings and training programs. 

  • Coordinate with Location Manager, Safety Coordinator, and other management members to assure maximum profitability of company and maximum safety of all employees.   

  • Successfully adhere to safety rules and company policies and procedures.  EHS, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures must be adhered to at all times. 

  • All other duties as assigned. 

 

REQUIREMENTS 

  • Requires a high school diploma or the equivalent thereof, and 2 or more years of related work experience.
