IT Infrastructure SME

Dark Wolf Solutions is seeking an IT Infrastructure SME for the design and implementation of complex IT information systems (i.e., DevSecOps platforms). The successful candidate will have the ability to explain complex issues to others in a manner that facilitates informed decision-making. The role requires a deep understanding of agile principles, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of complex systems. This position will be a primarily remote opportunity with ad hoc support in San Antonio, TX. Candidates must be located physically in the San Antonio area or surrounding areas. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Overseeing the technical requirements, and the development of the conceptual and detailed design of the IT environment.  
• Designing and preparing technical reports and related documentation such as charts and graphs to record and present results.  
• Identifying opportunities for automation and process improvement to enhance efficiency and reduce operational costs.
• Implementing security controls and mechanisms to protect IT infrastructure from cyber threats and unauthorized access.
• Overseeing the implementation of system designs, ensuring adherence to architectural standards and best practices. 
• Collaborating with software developers, network engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate systems seamlessly. 
• Conducting testing and validation to ensure systems meet performance and reliability requirements. 
• Serving as an escalation point for complex technical issues, providing troubleshooting expertise and guidance. 
• Monitoring system performance and identifying opportunities for optimization and efficiency improvements.  
• Ensuring systems comply with security policies, standards and regulatory requirements. 

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent industry experience
• 7 years of experience in designing, developing, and maintaining cloud-native information systems
• 5 years of experience leading the design and development of DevOps/DevSecOps platforms
• Strong proficiency in a variety of operating systems, platforms, and technologies (i.e. Linux, Windows, virtualization, cloud computing)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• US Citizen and a TS/SCI security clearance within 3 months of hire

Desired Qualifications:

• 10 years of experience with DevOps practices and tools (i.e. CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code)
• Knowledge of scripting and automation languages (i.e. Python, Powershell) 
• Familiarity with ITIL or other IT service management frameworks

This position is located in San Antonio, TX.

The estimated salary range for this position is $120,000.00 - $180,000.00, commensurate on experience and technical skillset.
