In Axon’s Global Artificial Intelligence pillar, you’ll build a stealth product with a small team and a big mission: deliver something the market hasn’t seen, and do it with pace.<br><br>As a Senior Software Engineer I, you’ll lead key areas of the product from concept through launch. You’ll make pragmatic architecture decisions, keep quality high while moving fast, and help the team turn prototypes into a scalable product.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span><br><br>This is an AI-native delivery role: AI is a primary lever for how you ship, not an add-on and you have true Product acumen and ability to craft and build products end to end. <em><br></em></p> <h3>What You’ll Do</h3> <ul> <li>Lead the build of major product surfaces and services; own features end-to-end from design to operations.</li> <li>Drive product clarity in ambiguity: define the problem, shape MVP scope, set success metrics, and align stakeholders on what “done” means.</li> <li>Build and ship software AI-natively across the SDLC (planning, implementation, testing, code review, debugging, and operations), with clear validation practices to maintain correctness and quality.</li> <li>Measure and improve delivery outcomes using engineering metrics (lead time, PR throughput, defect rates, test coverage, incident load) and iterate on how the team ships.</li> <li>Make architecture choices that balance speed and scalability—knowing when “temporary” becomes “permanent.”</li> <li>Build and enforce engineering hygiene that doesn’t slow you down (testing strategy, CI/CD, observability, sensible release practices).</li> <li>Partner tightly with Product and Design (and operate effectively when they’re not in the room) to prioritise, sequence, and ship the highest-value increments.</li> <li>Mentor engineers and help establish a high-trust, high-ownership culture.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Work Location: </strong>This role is based out of our London office and follows a hybrid schedule.
