A Day in the Life
On a PRN basis you will provide clinical support to the Residential Treatment and Emergency Shelter program, including comprehensive diagnostic assessment, treatment planning, and individual and family therapy for children and families.

How This Position Contributes to our Mission
• Complete comprehensive diagnostic, biopsychosocial assessment, individual treatment plan, suicide risk assessments and any necessary safety or supervision plans.
• Collaborate with outside agencies (e.g. DCBS, foster parents, adoption workers, Wendy’s Workers, CASA worker, etc.) as well as internal departments (e.g. Nursing, Activities, Independent Living) and operate within the Care Team to provide treatment to youths and their families.
• Use evidence-based practices, such as cognitive behavioral strategies to facilitate behavior change and employ motivation enhancement strategies as needed to motivate families to change.
• Provide individual, family, collateral, and group therapy services to service recipients at a frequency determined by need, medical necessity, and contractual and regulatory standards.
• Provide clinical oversight of implementation of the treatment plan and client’s progress through participation in monthly case reviews and work with other members of treatment team to complete reports of services.

Clinical Therapist Skills and Qualifications
• Master's Degree in a Human services field (e.g. Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, etc.) is required
• Professional license or certification in the state of Kentucky is required (e.g. CSW, LCSW, LPCC, LPCA, LMFTA, LMFT, LPATA, LPA, etc.)
• Valid driver's license and clear driving record is required
• Ability to complete and maintain Safe Crisis Management Certification
• Ability to organize, plan and manage time effectively
