Position Summary
The Overnight Building Security position are members of the Arena Security team that report directly to the Director of Security/Manager of Security. The position is responsible for the protection, safeguarding and security of assts, personnel, customers, and guests of the Arena. The Arena Security Team is a vital component of the Arena, a positive attitude and a positive appearance are essential. Candidates must pass a background check.
This role pays an hourly rate of $24.00-$26.00

Responsibilities
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Communicate and enforce building policies for all persons entering the facility or grounds of the Arena.
- Enforce Arena badge and/or identification/sign-in procedure for all persons entering the facility. Announce visitors to appropriate party as requested.
- Perform security patrols and routine inspections of the facility and grounds of the Arena.
- Maintain documentation in CMMS for all incidents, unusual occurrences, and property damage.
- Monitor arena CCTV and Access control systems and radio communication.
- Enforce building screening policies and procedures.
- Monitor and report any/all building alarms to proper authorities, ie. fire or other safety hazards.
- Report potential hazards and irregularities that may compromise safety and/or integrity of the facility and grounds.
- Maintain an effective working relationship with other departments, clients, and patrons encountered in the course of employment.
- Work effectively under pressure and stringent schedule to produce accurate results.
- Related duties as assigned.
As this position is classified as Essential Personnel, mandatory overtime may be required. Additionally, an employee may be required to work before and/or after regularly scheduled shifts and/or work through breaks and lunchtime. Employee must be available to work as needed during evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Qualifications
Required Experience & Qualifications:
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must possess the ability to perform all essential duties and responsibilities in a satisfactory manner. Work flexible shifts, including mornings, nights, overnights, weekends, and holidays depending on event schedule.
- Ability to work under deadlines dictated by event schedules and project timetables.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively with others in both oral and written form.
- Must have basic computer skills such as Microsoft office, email, and ability to learn CCTV system.
- Must be adaptable with the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.

- Must be able to work a flexible schedule inclusive of weekends, nights and holidays required.
