Unified Communications Engineer

Position Summary: 

Oasys is looking for a Unified Communications Engineer to join their team. This role will involve providing support for various communication technologies, such as desktop Video Conferencing (DVTC), Conference Room Video Teleconference Communications (CVTC), desktop Voice Over Internet Protocol (DVOIP), Voicemail, and Enterprise Content Delivery. The current Unified Communications infrastructure includes various Cisco equipment, such as DXSO's, 8800 Series phones, MX and SX Series Conference room equipment, Unified Communications Manager, Telepresence, VBrick, Enterprise Content Delivery, and Unity Connect voicemail.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Review and analyze the existing Unified Communications infrastructure and make recommendations for enhancement.
• Engineer Unified Communications solutions to meet new requirements and enhancements to existing Unified Communications services including identifying hardware refresh recommendations.
• Perform an AoA for periodic Unified Communications hardware refreshes following all Change Management processes.
• Create and document requisite network configuration.

Education/Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) in computer science or related technical discipline from an accredited institution with a minimum of eight (8) years of experience or six (6) years of experience with a Master’s degree or a minimum of three (3) years of experience with a PhD.
• Proven experience in Unified Communications Engineering.

Required Certifications:

• Must have a current DoD 8570.1-M IAT Level II certification (i.e., Security+ CE)

Clearance:

• U.S. citizenship required.
• Must possess an active TS/SCI clearance with SCI eligibility.

Preferred Certifications:

• Professional-level Cisco Certification
• ITIL Foundation Certification

Work Location:

• Annapolis Junction, MD and/or Landover, MD
