As a Natural Resource Specialist 2 – Assistant Project Leader in John Day, Oregon, you will conduct field sampling of all life stages of wild steelhead and salmon, data management, analysis, and reporting activities needed to carry out life history and natural production studies of salmon and steelhead and their habitats in Northeast Oregon. Duties include:
Collection of scientific data in Northeast Oregon streams
Analyze and summarize scientific data
Participate in project planning and coordination
Conduct research and monitoring to support steelhead and salmon restoration efforts

WORKING CONDITIONS
Position requires frequent long-distance travel to study sites.
Works weekends and long hours.
Up to 40% of time spent in office during normal working hours.
