Position Summary

As a Staff Cloud Engineer at CVS, you will be part of the team that supports the automation tools for the IaC and SDE program as well as developing automation code for cloud services.  The Staff Cloud Engineering position is a highly skilled, technical position that requires intricate knowledge of several automation tools including (but not limited to) Ansible, CHEF and Terraform.  In addition, experience working in a DevSecOps framework using standard CI/CD principles and working in public cloud environments are a requirement.

Responsibilities include:

• Writing automation for the Public Cloud native services

• Supporting other teams in the IaC program

• Managing tickets in the ServiceNow ticket Queue

• Participating in Agile scrum meetings and presenting during Feature Demo’s

• Part of an on-call rotation that will require some off hours work

• Writing and maintaining documentation for our automation tools

Required Qualifications

• 7 + years of software development or engineering related experience

• 2+ years of in depth experience with at least 1 of the following automation tools (Terraform, Ansible, CHEF)

• 1 + years experience writing Python and  Powershell

Preferred Qualifications

• Mid-level knowledge in remaining automation tools

• Demonstrate a solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and tools (Git, Jenkins)

• In-depth knowledge of Terraform

• Direct experience with CI/CD tools including GIT, Jenkins and Octopus

• Container experience in Kubernetes or Openshift

• Experience working in a SAFe Agile framework

Education

Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience (HS diploma + 4 years relevant experience)

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$106,605.00 - $213,210.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition
