This role in a nutshell

Reporting to the Operations Category Dept Lead, you’ll be responsible for leading a team of  logistics managers, analysts and a category manager to deliver robust supply chain services across a portfolio of meter related assets. This is a critical role, with responsibility for ensuring that asset volumes are optimised to balance working capital, supply chain resilience, customer demand and revenue generation.

Working with your Peopler Leader and other senior stakeholders you’ll set OVO’s supply chain strategy for serialised assets.  Your strategy and planning will ensure that OVO’s team of engineers have the meters (and other assets) required to support OVO customers.  Your remit will include forecasting of asset demand as well as purchase, warehousing, distribution and sale of assets as well as OVO’s reverse supply chain of removed assets.

Your key outcomes will be…

  • A resilient supply chain that can easily accommodate international, supplier and internal risks. You’ll do this by strategically managing your asset and manufacturer mix, with awareness of OVO’s contractual obligations.
  • Optimised forecasting and ordering processes, which ensure consistent supply, minimized disruptions and optimal stock levels. Your team will keep ahead of industry and other challenges which might impact forecasts and have an awareness of new asset variants and firmware.
  • A team which optimises asset availability for internal and external field engineers through effective SKU  management (of 80k monthly unit distributions) and proactive stakeholder engagement.
  • Delivery of sales revenue in the region of £100M annually, in the right ratio to the right purchasing partner.  You’ll drive process improvements where there’s value to be added.
  • Optimised and cost effective reverse supply chain processes which mitigate upstream charges for failed or late return.
  • Leading-edge, end to end stock tracking capabilities, either developed internally or through acquisition.
  • Excellent service delivery from OVO’s supply chain & triage 3rd parties, actively managing their performance to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Maximised output from OVO’s triage 3rd party, guaranteeing a commercially effective warranty
