Disney Entertainment Television (DET) is seeking a Travel Supervisor (Project-Hire) to work within the PR, Events, Awards, and Talent Relations teams to manage their team of Travel Bookers and oversee and book all talent-related travel. This includes booking flights, hotels and cars, and creating detailed, personalized itineraries for DET talent. The Travel Supervisor will report directly to the Senior Manager of Travel. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and possess exceptional communication and multitasking skills.
Primary Responsibilities:
Overseeing the travel logistics for approximately 50 trips per month -- Booking airfare, rail and ground transportation through the company’s dedicated travel agency and car services, which also includes handling travel-related emergencies as needed, including occasional nights and weekends.
Creating detailed talent itineraries for and communicating directly with top celebrity talent, filmmakers, and film subjects.
Assisting senior team members with hotel group bookings and contract negotiations, which includes working with hotels to secure third-party billing and fulfill special requests as needed.
Oversee and manage all recurring Travel Bookers across the DET teams. Responsible for project assignments and coordinating workloads in addition to acting as the primary point of contact for T&E policy and process questions.
Basic Qualifications:
Strong prior entertainment travel booking experience; publicity/events, film/TV, admin support; working with talent, representatives, and executives
Understanding of budgets, itineraries and scheduling logistics/times
Fluency in commonly used cloud-based software: Microsoft 365, G-Suite, Apple iWork’s, and Teams
Strong multitasking, organizational skills, attention to detail
Willingness to work evening hours and occasional weekends.
Multitasker; Good communicator; Able to work in fast-paced environments with constantly changing priorities
Must have professional phone skills and manners, and exhibit discretion and calmness when working with high-level and sometimes difficult talent.
Preferred Qualifications:
SAP Concur booking software is a plus
Prior airline travel experience is desired
