Liberal Arts Instructional Technology Services (LAITS) is seeking highly skilled and motivated professionals to assist with the operations of a unique service department dedicated to creating, maintaining, and promoting technology within the College of Liberal Arts at The University of Texas. Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for any employer without sponsorship.

Purpose

This role provides leadership and oversight for a wide variety of post-production services by managing workflows, resources, and quality standards. As the central point of coordination for post-production activities, this role ensures projects are appropriately staffed, efficiently executed, and delivered to client expectations, while fostering continuous and long-term improvement in project outcomes, staff development, and scalability of post-production operations. 

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and coordinate post-production work for online courses, service center clients, and other projects, ensuring editing assignments are appropriately staffed and completed according to quality, technical, timeline, and budget requirements. This includes assigning editors based on skill level and availability, managing workflows for high-volume editing projects, reviewing edits for quality assurance, addressing post-production challenges and bottlenecks, and assisting with rush assignments as needed to meet deadlines.

  • Train, mentor, and support student editors by providing instruction on post-production standards, workflows, technologies, and best practices. This
