General Description:
The Financial Planning & Analysis Senior Director will be the primary finance business partner for the Hopewell NJ Manufacturing site. Together with taking over Quality/Supply Chain and CMC external finance partner. In this role the main responsibilities include:
Leading the financial planning cycles (annual operating plan, quarterly forecasts, long range plan) for the site.
Monthly Capital and Operating Expense reporting, including presenting to the Hopewell leadership team.
Leading the month end close finance processes in SAP.
Supporting the project management team in validating capital forecasts while the site is still a construction project.
Actively engage with business partners on site to ensure financial and operational goals are met.
Actively engage with global Technical Operations finance team to drive continuous improvement in processes and key metrics.
Closely partner with APAC TechOps team and Corp accounting and treasury team.
Leading and coaching the Tech Ops FP&A team in Hopewell site.
Essential Functions of the job:
Develop budgets and forecasts by functional area and CMC external in a consistent, scalable format to enable efficient reporting to senior management and business owners.
Deliver monthly reporting of actuals versus budget with clear, business-driven variance explanations.
Manage the month end close processes related to finance in SAP.
Develop standard costs on an annual basis for all products manufactured on site and lead the actions to address the variances.
Collaborate with Supply Chain to set and meet inventory targets.
Work with FP&A and accounting team to improve forecasting, monthly close, and reporting processes.
Suggest and drive process and system improvements.
Leading and developing the team.
Education/Experience Required:
Bachelor's degree with 12+ years or Master's degree with 8+ years of relevant experience in a financial planning role, preferably in pharma or biotech organization.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting required. Strong planning, reporting and analytical skills with demonstrated business and systems proficiency in previous roles.
Strong leadership skills.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
None immediately but potentially in the future
Computer Skills:
Strong computer software skills (Microsoft Office Suite – Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Experience using financial systems, including skill with SAP and budgeting tools (e.g., TM1)
Travel:
Minimal travel required
