The Job You Will Perform:

The West Region Financial Analyst is a key support position for region operations and division reporting.  This position is responsible for producing plans, forecasts, monthly performance reporting and analytical support for both division and region operations.  The position interacts directly with all levels of the Fiber Supply organization (region, field office and division), IP paper mill operating and financial personnel, and internal/external auditors. 

  • Monthly Reporting/Forecasting/Budgeting – Prepare monthly reports for region operations and division management, as well as external reporting, in a timely and accurate manner.  Internal reporting is centered on wood costs (stumpage, transportation, procurement, depreciation and cost reduction initiatives) and inventory. This role also plays a key role in the preparation of the annual procurement budgets for the region.
  • Analytical Support - Provide region and division management with timely and informative data and analysis related to wood cost, inventory, overhead cost, capital investments/replacements, and various ad-hoc requests.
  • Internal Controls – support an effective and efficient internal control system within Fiber Supply through participation in peer reviews, annual balance sheet review and control workshops.
  • Capital Project Coordinator – coordinate capital portfolio for the region, from analysis and project development to Unifier management. 
  • System Administrator – establish and maintain appropriate roles within the SAP system for employees within the West Region.
  • Shreveport Office Site Coordinator – function as the primary point of contact for the West Region office and coordinate office needs.
  • Fleet Administrator - effectively manage the deployment, maintenance oversight and replacement planning for personally assigned company vehicles and pool vehicles.
  • Must be available during month-end (first five work days of the month).
  • Some travel is required to support Region Peer Reviews and trainings; the majority of Region locations are accessible by car.

The Qualifications, Skills and Knowledge You Will Bring:

  • BS or MS degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or a related field
  • 3 – 6 years of financial experience
  • Solid understanding of financial accounting and GAAP
  • Proficiency in SAP, BW, Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point
  • Background in Data Analytics, Analysis for Office, or Power BI desired
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
