Summer 2025 Knowledge Management Intern

The Opportunity
The Knowledge Management Intern will support the growth of the knowledge management program at Ulteig as part of the Enterprise Technology department. The intern will work primarily with the knowledge management lead to support search systems and content management at Ulteig.
The intern must be enthusiastic about working with multiple, changing, groups of people to define and solve problems. Past intern projects have included helping the IT help desk to improve the process for entering knowledge base articles with both basic process improvements and AI, supporting the migration of technical training to a new Learning Management System, and both creating educational content and instructing Subject Matter Experts on how to create their own educational content in the LMS. The intern can expect clear goals and defined tasks, but also to have room to focus on their own areas of interest within the topic of knowledge and information management.
What You'll Do
- Support content audits to improve usability and tagging of repository content and implement content management plans. (40%)
- Assist in building use cases to expand search at Ulteig, including interviewing stakeholders, learning to map information and data flows, and performing system testing (40%)
- Analyze user data and behavior in order to evaluate success/failure and impact of ongoing knowledge management efforts. (10%)
- Support additional T&E programs such as system migrations, new system adoption and ROI reporting (10%).
What We Expect from You
- Be working on a bachelor’s degree or equivalent. Relevant degrees may be but are not limited to Information Management, Business, Library Science, or Organizational Communications.
- Be relationship-oriented and enjoy working with different groups of people and helping define and solve problems.
- Have strong communication skills, written and verbal. Have some experience writing and editing for a professional audience.
- Have experience with or interest in information organization, content governance, and discoverability.
- Experience working with or basic knowledge of content management, asset management, or learning management systems.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft 365 products and services.
- Comfortable working in a remote or hybrid environment with staff in multiple locations and work environments.
- Comfortable managing time when given defined tasks and goals.
- Must have authorization to work permanently in the U.S.
