Job Description:

Represents a critical resource to the “run and maintain” activity of a business, taking an active role in resolving current problems.
Supports other technical specialists to advance knowledge in their capability area.

What you will be doing:

With this attractive opportunity you'll get a chance to:
 

  • Interact with customers to understand technical requirements & resolve issues

  • Provide program management for individual part portfolio

  • Troubleshoot manufacturing problems & root cause analysis

  • Develop new, and refine existing investment casting product to reduce scrap, rework, and manufacturing costs

  • Support manufacturing to ensure on-time delivery of product through all operations

  • Work concurrently with customers to design components for castability

  • Maintain customer relationships through joint resolution of issues

  • Maintain and improve casting scrap and rework

  • Improve casting profitability through cost reductions

  • Achieve cost reduction through process improvements

  • Develop and refine manufacturing work instructions

  • Develop casting processes for new and existing products

  • Assist in quotation of new products

  • Achieve cost targets for development and production castings

  • Establish and achieve milestones for casting development

  • Guide and mentor other Manufacturing Engineers in the above activities

Who we're looking for:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of experience or

  • Master’s degree and 3+ years of experience

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen to be eligible for consideration

  • Understanding of Intellectual Property and Export Control requirements

Preferred qualifications:

  • Previous investment casting or aerospace experience, single crystal casting experience a plus

  • Advanced knowledge of statistical process control

  • Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt
