Aquatics Assistant Coach

Purpose

This Assistant Coach is responsible for continuing to guide and grow a USA swimming program that produces the highest attainable levels of competitive excellence in individual and team performance. It is expected that the Assistant Coach will foster positive relationships, mentor as appropriate, and communicate well with coaching staff, swim team members and swim team parents. The Assistant Coach must develop the skills and talents of team members while promoting teamwork, sportsmanship and encouraging personal development and excellence.

Essential Job Functions

• Supports the School's mission statement and the philosophy of the department and adheres to School policies and procedures, including but not limited to what is outlined in the Employee Handbook
• Coaches, trains, and mentors Lower School, Middle School and Varsity divers
• Coaches, trains, and mentors USA Club divers
• Researches and train proper Dryland skills and Overhead Spotting dives
• Assists with summer Diving Camp
• Works with video filming and analyzing dives using iPad
• Conducts practices Monday through Saturday
• Manages day to day communications with diving parents and divers
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Department Supervisor or their designee

Job Qualifications

Education

High School Diploma required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
