About the role
The Display Architecture Team within the MR organization is seeking an experienced Display IC Architect to lead the development of Meta’s portfolio of Display ICs across the MR line of products. As a senior member of the Display Team, the successful candidate will play a key role in defining the overall development strategy and vendor engagement, and assume a leading role in defining the development and validation flow of custom ICs developed by Meta’s strategic partners and vendors.Mixed Reality Display IC Architect Responsibilities

- Collaborate with other senior architects and leads in the MR organization to define the DDIC roadmap and multi-year development plan.
- Define and oversee IC development flow, including micro-architecture definition, design reviews, verification and validation plans, and tape checklists.
- Engage with IC and panel vendors and establish relationships to influence vendor roadmap and support and align with Meta priorities.
- Engage with SoC vendors to define the overall pixel pipeline.
- 15+ years or Ph.D. 10+ years of industry experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Experience in leading ICs from architecture to tape out, test, and mass production.
- Broad knowledge of Display IC building blocks, including high-speed interfaces, panel driving, and digital IP.
- Proven understanding of the display module, specifically the electrical aspects including signal integrity and power integrity.
- Effective communication skills.
- IC development through third party vendors towards system integration and mass production.
- Experience in developing complex consumer electronics devices to mass production.
- Familiar with display algorithms such as de-mura, burn-in, compression, local dimming, etc.
