Summary: ATS Mechanical Integrity Group needs a Resident Inspector API-570 (additional API/NDT certs a plus) for direct on-site support at customer facility in New York State. The primary focus will be on mechanical equipment reliability and the inspection and assessment of tanks, vessels, piping components. This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week. Relocation assistance is available.
Responsibilities:
- Perform field inspections of industrial equipment (storage tanks, pressure vessels, and piping systems).
- Generate calculations in accordance with API, ASME, STI, etc.
- Generate written reports
- Manage client relationships.
Qualifications
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or Bachelor of Science in Mechanical/Structural Engineering or closely related field preferred.
- Must have API 570 and any additional API certs (API 510/653) preferred including NDT experience and additional NDT certs .
- Must be proficient with reports, especially Excel Spreadsheets and similar formats.
- Must be local to the Upstate New York or willing/able to relocate to the area.
Experience:
- 8-10 years’ experience in mechanical reliability, tank/vessel/piping inspections, or design and MI program management.
- Plant engineering experience
- Industrial inspection, operations, and maintenance experience
- Process improvement experience
- Strong leadership skills and ability to work unsupervised
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to write reports detailing assessments and results
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications and AutoCAD
- Ability to multi-task and work in a growing environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, Power-point, AutoCAD
