Overview
Application Development AVP is responsible for the planning, development and implementation of application projects, daily maintenance of production application systems and fulfilment of business requests.
Responsibilities
Application Maintenance (40%)
- Provide both first level and second level application maintenance and support services.
- Investigate application issues and analyze requests, review, develop, test and execute application system solutions.
- Propose updates to application system procedures and maintenance documents.
- Ensure adherence to the change management procedure when implementing application solutions.
Application Development (60%)
- Lead the requirement gathering, and development of technical solution and project plan.
- Design desired features and operations in detail and develop the design into codes that follow secure coding principles - Conduct testing including unit test, system integration test to validate if the new program meets business requirements.
- Support user acceptance test and lead the production go-live.
- Develop technical documents related to the application project.
- Ensure adherence to the application development procedure when developing application system.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology or related subject. Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of Program development experience
- IT industry certificates preferred
- Demonstrate skill in at least 2 programming languages (e.g. Java, VB, C++, C#, C Shell, Python, PL/SQL)
- Demonstrate Application development knowledge
Pay Range
Actual salary is commensurate with candidate’s relevant years of experience, skillset, education and other qualifications.
