At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As a Business Analyst supporting CMS, you will be trusted to work hand-in-hand with our CMS customer, collecting business requirements and system documentation supporting business and IT activities and to conduct, document, and communicate data collection and analysis. In this role, a typical day will include:

  • Designing Salesforce solutions, creating and refining complex data models, working with external integration, automating business process, and working on additional custom functionality to meet the business needs.
  • Acting as the liaison between our customers, vendors, and the application development team, including communications of business process analysis through documentation.
  • Performing fit-gap analysis between Salesforce functionality and customer requirements.
  • Developing, documenting, and providing technical review and validation of user stories and to-be process flows based on business requirements to support the design and development of Salesforce solutions.
  • Working collaboratively with team members to design a solution that will meet business requirements and fulfill user stories.
  • Participating as a domain expert in customer-facing meetings to facilitate discussions regarding provider enrollment initiatives and to provide assistance with technical inquiries related to system implementations, as needed.
  • Breaking down roadmaps into epics and decompose into user stories.
  • Verifying completion of requirements with customer and service providers, ensuring expectations are appropriately met.
  • Listing out risks and constraints in relation to identified requirement.
  • Working with stakeholders and the project team to prioritize the backlog.
  • Providing additional support and guidance to clients during the implementation phase, to include development of training resources.
  • Researching, reviewing, and analyzing the effectiveness and efficiency of existing requirements gathering processes and developing strategies for enhancing or further leveraging these processes.
  • Documenting and communicating reporting requirements, rules and methodologies for data collection and analysis
  • Preparing and conducting analysis of data for system requirements, to determine the performance and health of a system or network, and other needs.
  • Providing input or preparing technical reports/briefings based on the expert interpretation of analyzed data. Presenting data in briefing and other formats to internal teams and CMS.
  • Recommending changes to the overall system or network to ensure service to the customer.
  • Serve as primary contact with the Subject Matter Experts.
  • May coach and mentor other Business Analysts.
  • Daily demonstration of a Consultant Mindset:
    • Strategic Thinker - You look beyond immediate needs and understand the bigger picture
    • Problem Solver - You break down complex problems and design actionable solutions
    • Technical Translator - You can translate technical requirements into business language and vice versa
    • Change Agent - You drive user adoption and champion continuous improvement
    • Empathetic Listener - You actively listen to stakeholder needs and challenge assumptions constructively
    • Influencer - You build trust, manage expectations, and lead with credibility

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years related hands-on experience
  • 6+ years of experience working with business processes and re-engineering
  • 5+ years of experience capturing requirements
  • 3+ years of experience capturing and writing user stories
  • 3+ or more years of business processes and business analysis experience in a system engineering or software application
