Senior, Data Analyst - Transportation Modeling

What you'll do...

Walmart is hiring for an exciting new opportunity to be a part of the Transportation Modeling Center of Excellence. Candidates in this high-visibility role will use advanced analytics (modeling, data visualization, simulation) to help leaders make data-driven decisions to help reduce transportation costs and improve service.

• Bring 2-5 years of transportation modeling experience

• Thrive while operating in a high-impact, high-visibility role to translate business ideas into reality

• Bring advanced, hands-on experience with routing or simulation software (e.g. Blue Yonder Transportation Modeler, Llamasoft Supply Chain Guru, Appian Direct Route)

• If you have experience in Python, SQL, Tableau & PowerBI  

• If you love to analyze and visualize data, and are passionate about using data to make decisions

Providing decision support and expertise to decision-makers in Walmart Transportation.

What you’ll do…
Build and maintain transportation models from the ground up. You’ll work with various teams across Walmart to collect data, build models, analyze the output, and make recommendations to leadership based on the data.  

What you’ll bring…

2-5 years of transportation modeling experience

Advanced knowledge of Python, SQL, Tableau & PowerBI  

Minimum qualifications:

• Option 1: Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Arts, Finance or related field and 2 years' experience in data analysis, data science, statistics, or related field.

• Option 2: Master's degree in Business, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.

• Option 3: 4 years' experience in data analysis, data science, statistics, or related field.

Preferred qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field

• 2-5 years of relevant industry experience in transportation or network optimization. Hands-on experience with modeling software such as Blue Yonder Transportation Modeler, Llamasoft Supply Chain Guru, Appian Direct Route, AIMMS, Gurobi or similar.

• Advanced knowledge of Python, SQL, Tableau & PowerBI
