Food Services - Fresh Fusion Cashier/Food Service Worker (FWS/NFWS)

Grand Canyon University is seeking a Fresh Fusion Cashier/Food Service Worker to support the mission of Grand Canyon University through GCU's Food Services department.

Purpose within the Organization:

The purpose of this position is to assist Fresh Fusion on campus by working as a food service worker.

Responsibilities Related to Purpose:

• May be required to prepare for service before the meal and clean the dining room after the meal (wiping tables, vacuuming the floor, cleaning chairs, ensuring the acceptable appearance of the dining area).
• Cleans and sanitizes workstations, counters, steam tables and other equipment.
• Interacts with customers in the serving and dining areas.
• Complies with all HACCP policies and procedures.
• Provides attentive and responsive customer service.
• Records all sales, collects money, operates a cash register and follows all cash handling procedures as require.
• Maintains required stock of supplies within restaurant.
• May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

• Must comply with any dress code requirements.
• Must be able to work weekday mornings, evenings, and weekends.
• Attends work and shows up for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity.
• Must have a Maricopa County Food Handler’s Card and non-slip shoes.

Therefore, all applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements to be considered for student employment:

• Enrolled at GCU as a full-time student in a Bachelor’s program or Master’s program. 
• Retain a 2.0 GPA as a Bachelor level student or a 3.0 GPA as a Master level student.
• Maintain good financial standing with the University.

You may be subject to termination if you fall below the minimum requirements. 

Pay Rate: Minimum Wage
