Software Engineer

Within this framework, we are looking for an agile and highly motivated “Software Engineer” to join INTRACOM TELECOM’s Software Development Center in Athens. We specialize in the development of Telecommunication products, in collaboration with large international Telecommunication vendors with a dominant worldwide presence.

Responsibilities

The selected candidate will work in an international Agile team of engineers, which develops and maintains Mobile network nodes, deployed on bare metal, virtualized, or containerized environments.

He/she will be incorporated in a multicultural environment, will contribute to all phases of SW life cycle, will work close to system architects and technical mentors and will have many opportunities for advancement. 

Requirements

• BSc in Computer Science, Electrical and Computer Engineering or other related discipline
• Strong experience in C++
• Good working experience of Java, BASH
• Good working knowledge of Linux networking
• Good knowledge of networking principles and protocols
• Familiarity with Virtualization / Containers (docker)
• Good knowledge in creating CI/CD pipelines on at least one of mainstream engines like Jenkins
• Familiarity with S/W development environment and verification frameworks (git, Gitlab, Sonar etc.)
• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken

Nice to have

• Good knowledge of Telecommunication networks and/or IT network protocols
• Familiarity with no-SQL databases, like Cassandra
• Knowledge of Cloud systems and Virtualization/Containerization platforms (e.g. Openstack, Vmware VSphere/ESXi, Kubernetes)
• Knowledge of Cloud native tools like Helm
• Understanding of microservices design principles
