As a Non-Certified CS/SPD Technician, you will play a key role in how our dental clinic cares for patients and ensures the safety and health of the patient. In this role, you will provide safe and efficient practices for decontamination, instrument inspection, assembly, wrapping, and sterilization of all reprocessed instruments and distribution equipment. You will be responsible for case cart management and ensuring compliance with departmental standards. Here, you will receive ample support, training and education, including knowledge of operating the latest, state-of-the-art processing equipment and sterilization tools and concepts.
A caregiver in this position works days from 10:00AM – 6:30PM.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Provide safe, efficient practices for decontamination, instrument assembly, wrapping and sterilization of all reprocessed instruments and distribution equipment.
Perform case pull functions.
Demonstrate proper handling of equipment, instrumentation and chemicals.
Perform preventative maintenance.
Observe personal protective equipment standards in the decontamination process.
Scan, sort, inspect and assemble instruments by instrument list and wrap and label as documented in the procedure.
Ensure proper cleaning, decontamination, assembly and high-level disinfection of reusable instrumentation in accordance with AAMI ST79 standards.
Monitor and control the distribution of supplies and equipment.
Perform recordkeeping within the electronic tracking system, including processing, sterilization and quality assurance documentation.
Build case carts using electronic preference cards and dispatch them to appropriate locations.
