QA Engineer needed to join our team, working primarily on ecommerce solutions. You'll be hands-on with both manual and automated testing, embedded within agile scrum teams, and collaborating closely with developers throughout the delivery lifecycle.

The opportunity

You're someone who's curious, pragmatic, and comfortable working in fast-moving environments. You know when to script and when to explore. You're not afraid of APIs, logs, or digging into the backend to understand what's really happening.

But beyond the technical—you're a strong communicator. You can explain issues clearly, present testing outcomes with confidence, and hold your own in client conversations. You're always looking for better ways to do things, whether that's improving a process, trying a new tool, or bringing fresh thinking to how we approach quality. You're a continuous learner who takes ownership of your own growth.

What you’ll get to do

  • Design, document, and execute test cases across web applications, APIs, and backend systems
  • Perform system testing, system integration testing, and exploratory testing
  • Build and maintain test automation using Playwright (or similar) with JavaScript/TypeScript
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and contribute to their reliability
  • Work in a shift-left approach—participating in refinements, planning, and requirements analysis to catch issues early
  • Identify, document, and track defects with clear reproduction steps, collaborating with developers on root cause analysis
  • Query and analyse data from various sources (databases, logs, monitoring tools) to investigate issues and validate behaviour
  • Contribute to process improvements, and ways of working within your scrum team
  • Communicate testing progress, risks, and quality metrics to both internal teams and clients
  • Participate in client-facing meetings such as demos, triage calls, and release discussions
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve quality, tooling, or processes—and act on them

What you should have

  • Solid experience in QA or test engineering
  • Experience testing ecommerce or transactional platforms—you understand customer journeys, checkout flows, payments, and integrations
  • A strong balance of manual testing expertise and hands-on automation skills
  • Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Windsurf) to accelerate your work
  • Comfortable with API testing tools (e.g., Postman) and working with backend data—querying databases, reading logs, validating data flows
  • Experience working within agile scrum environments—sprints, standups, refinements, and retros
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tooling and practices
  • Excellent communication skills—written and verbal—with the confidence to engage directly with clients and stakeholders
  • A genuine continuous learning mindset—you stay curious, seek feedback, and actively develop your skills
  • An innovative streak—you look for smarter ways to work and aren't afraid to challenge the status quo
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail and strong problem-solving instincts
