Job Description 

The Stores Marketing Specialist/Sr. Specialist role will lead end-to-end strategy development and execution for Hollister and Gilly Hicks store marketing. They are a core member of the brand experience pod, ensuring that brand marketing campaigns are translated through customer-facing messaging in internal brick-and-mortar channels. They report to the Manager, Brand Experience Marketing and partner with several cross-functional teams across the organization, including Merchandising, Marketing Creative, and Store Operations. The Stores Marketing Specialist/Sr. Specialist is the subject matter expert in store content and signage strategy, bringing critical thinking and creative problem-solving to maximize internal campaign and product support.

This job is located at our Global Home Office in Columbus, Ohio.

What Will You Be Doing? 

  • Lead store experience planning and content programming, seeing through stores initiatives from experience sprint through execution.
  • Work closely with international teams, merchandising, visual merchandising & operations, and store design on store nuances, with a strong understanding of various store types, fixturing and unique marketing needs across stores.
  • Own journey mapping and JIRA brief creation for store marketing, ensuring accuracy and deadlines being met.
  • Organize and lead regular store visits to validate execution and audit competitive landscape.
  • Manage ad-hoc signage requests including evaluation of business need or opportunity and voice of prioritization of requests.
  • Own strategy and execution of store specific initiatives including bounceback promos, store-specific events, etc
  • Partner closely with procurement to prototype any new marketing types and optimize in-store spend.
  • Support Brand Experience Manager in understanding of budget and appropriate allocation of signage requests based on budget.
  • Manage and develop store support assistant/associate specialist, ensuring accuracy and deadlines are being met.
  • Own various processes and strategic initiatives including:
    • Sign library process and updates
    • Store signage re-orders
    • Store signage purge process and partnership with store operations, visual, promo, and merchandising  
    • Store signage testing ideation & process
    • Large format marketing planning
    • Store creative proofing
    • Creation of elevated experiences to support key markets and stories
  • Maintain close partnership with visual ops to communicate marketing initiatives and needs.
  • Own strategy and execution of POS screens and store video screens, including relationship with IT/store media partners.
  • Own New Store Opening processes and execution, including:
    • NSO signage, large format marketing and marketing clusters, barricades
    • Store communication for marketing clusters
    • Managing and maintaining any ad-hoc store specific requests for elevated locations
    • Travel to NSO sites when required to ensure accuracy of sign pack and process clarity
    • Coordination with digital teams for digital NSO customer communication

 

What Do You Need To Bring? 

  • Bachelor’s Degree or related experience 
  • 3+ years of experience in brick-and-mortar operations (marketing experience preferred, general brick-and-mortar experience in visual merchandising, store operations, or similar required)
  • Jira experience is a plus
  • High attention to detail, organization, and time management
  • Strong conceptual analytical skills
  • Experience collaborating in a highly cross-functional organization
  • Supervisory experience preferred
