In this exciting and unique role, you will be our new people and culture champion. You support our international team of Senior Leaders in the journey of bringing the people agenda to life in our HQ and driving further growth. You will report to the Chief People and Legal Officer, with a strong connection with the HR Director Europe and you have a team of two people reporting into you. This role is based in our head office in Rotterdam, which is a lively environment with about 160 people (and growing) with around 32 different nationalities across various functions. Your ‘community’ consists of a variety of people and personalities, but with your mindset you see it as one, acting as a true business partner on all levels.

Your role

• You act as a coach and strong sparring partner for all leadership levels in the HQ, who is not afraid to work both strategically and hands-on as required
• You offer creative solutions to (complex) issues using a multi disciplined approach
• You are involved in different challenging (HR) projects on HQ and on Global level;
• You connect, engage and build strong relationships with your community (and beyond) – shifting each leader in the HQ to become an even better leader
• You create awareness and understanding driving the people agenda on HQ in a structured and pro-active manner
• Providing guidance to leadership regarding employment challenges and delivering comprehensive solutions for the various internal stakeholders
• Pro-active mindset and approach on people development, monitoring talent management processes and providing support on succession planning and performance reviews
• Mentoring and guiding your team consisting of two people: Junior HR generalist and the Corporate Recruiter
• Act as the first point of contact supporting on all HR issues or concerns in the HQ community
• Align, advise and provide insights in the HQ community to improve HR on global level
• Initiate, support, coordinate key (HR) projects and process improvements on regional and global level
• You will be reporting directly to the Chief People & Legal Officer

 

Your profile

• You support, enable and elevate people – able to exercise effective judgment, sensitivity & creativity to changing needs and situations
• You have a Bachelor/Master degree in Human Resources or similar
• You are an experienced HR Manager/Business Partner with at least 8 years of working experience in such a role in an international environment
• You connect easily with various stakeholders on different levels, are an excellent listener and have a natural way of influencing, collaborating and connecting to people
• You flourish in a fast paced, international and dynamic environment and enjoy challenges
• You are energetic, pragmatic, discrete, a smart communicator, with a curious mindset and positive attitude to life
• You are autonomous in organizing and structuring your work, you have excellent prioritization skills, and good project management abilities
• Experience in an end-to-end HR position combined with hands on experience in HR center of operations
