JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Painter is a position that will prepare materials and components for the paint operation in the Paint Cell.  This position will clean parts, move material in the cell, mask parts, and read drawings related to the paint operation.  This includes loading and unloading the paint line on a daily basis and the application of primers, topcoats, and general preparation activities.  

 

Essential Functions: 

  • Maintain a safe, clean and healthy environment and ensure the compliance with company's rules and policies.
  • Must be able to comply with quality, product safety, and HSE rules, guidelines and regulations. Be energy conscious, if applicable.
  • Must understand and comply with applicable standards. ( i.e.: ISO 9001, ISO/TS 22163, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001, and CMMI).
  • Maintain and safeguard business records.
  • Responsible for masking and preparing work for painting.
  • Preparation of painted components to internal Knorr standards and to paint manufacturer standards.
  • Identify new techniques for painting, related to rework and repair.
  • Responsible for entering and closing SAP work orders.
  • Responsible for maintaining KPS practices.
  • Provide support and assistance to other technicians and team members, as directed, and any other duties as assigned by the Cell Leader or Sr. Personnel. 
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and healthy environment and ensure the compliance with the company's rules and policies.  
  • Must be able to comply with quality, product safety, and HSE rules and regulations. Be energy conscious, if applicable. 
  • Responsible for maintaining inventory with respect to paint and paint equipment.
  • Responsible for FIFO with respect to inventory.
  • Painters shall be familiar with Knorr work standards for special processes.
  • Painters shall verify daily with Cell Leads about immediate needs with respect to paint.

  • Repeatedly load and unload the paint line to support sales volume needs

Required Education:

High School Diploma or GED

 

Required Experience: 

0-2 Years Relevant Experience
