Brief Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager of Accounting to manage the general ledger and day-to-day accounting operations of the company. In collaboration with the Accounting team, this role will be responsible for the period end close processes and will partner with management to drive continuous improvement in accounting operations. This role will be responsible for technical accounting matters including accounting for foreign currency transactions, consolidations, and equity accounting. Managing a team of four individuals, this role lead, manage, and develop the Accounting team, establish objectives and identify professional development needs and training opportunities.  The ideal candidate would have significant industry experience, a thorough working knowledge of general ledger systems and processes, and the ability to manage a team of strong contributors.  The candidate will work with various cross functional teams and report to the Controller.

Core Responsibilities:

• Participate in worldwide financial close, including the preparation and review of journal entries, reconciliations, global consolidation, and financial statement analytics.
• Manage close process, including close calendar and checklist, while working with the business stakeholders and the accounting team to ensure a timely close.
• Assist with maintenance and documentation of company-wide accounting policies and procedures.
• Maintain and adhere to SOX requirements while continuing to monitor the effectiveness of internal controls and recommend improvements, as necessary.
• Evaluate and implement new accounting guidance and manage accounting transactions in accordance with existing guidance including strong knowledge of ASC 718, stock-based compensation, ASC 830, foreign currency transactions, and worldwide consolidations
• Interface with external auditors and respond to quarterly review and year-end audit requests.
• Assist in disclosure requirements for the 10-K and 10-Q filings.
• Manage and mentor a group of motived and diverse individuals.
• Create and promote a positive and supportive work environment.
• Assume other special functions and responsibilities as required.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of a BA; CPA and/or MBA preferred
• Industry experience and technology savy/experience required.
• Public company experience – preferred.
• Software or SaaS experience preferred.
• Experience with NetSuite preferred.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (v-lookup, pivot tables, etc.).
• Experience with consolidation and international accounting.
• Experience with accounting for stock-based compensation and equity matters.
• Demonstrate an ability to identify and manage implementation of process improvements through automatization.
• Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities effectively and meet deadlines.
• Positive, energetic, optimistic attitude, willing to proactively roll up your sleeves.
