What You Will Do

Primarily responsible for working on IoT Transportation devices returned from customers that are under warranty.  The role helps to ensure that the root cause of product failure is documented so that further actions can be taken to improve product quality.  

This position requires working hands-on with software (Android Operating System) and knowledge of electronics to confirm customer return issues and to further determine the cause of the issue.  

• Daily use of PCs to run custom diagnostic scripts, make software updates and document the status of returned devices

• Load Trimble’s MDM software on Samsung devices and confirm device settings

• Follow standard operating procedures to inspect and run diagnostics on returned on-board computers and displays to verify how the product failed in the field and to return devices to working condition

• Flex between multiple priorities throughout the day in a lab environment to ensure critical deliveries are met

• Utilize NetSuite to receive and ship customer orders, and FedEx, WorldShip etc to process shipments to customers and suppliers

• Collaborate with team members to identify areas of improvement such as controlling inventory, and improving ergonomics and flow of material in the work areas

What Skills & Experience You Should Bring

• Strong technical background, specifically in industrial electronics

• Strong written and verbal communication

• Ability to troubleshoot both software and hardware-related issues

• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude

• 2+ years of related technical experience
