We are currently seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support the successful execution of solar projects. The Assistant Project Manager will work closely with the Project Management team and be responsible for assisting with all aspects of project delivery, including project planning, budgeting, procurement, construction management, project controls and reporting, scheduling, and risk management.

About The Role
We are currently seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support the successful execution of solar projects. The Assistant Project Manager will work closely with the Project Management team and be responsible for assisting with all aspects of project delivery, including project planning, budgeting, procurement, construction management, project controls and reporting, scheduling, and risk management.
Responsibilities
- Assist with planning, budgeting, management, and completion of PV projects.
- Coordinate design and permitting activities with engineering team and local authorities.
- Follow Solar Landscape Safety and Quality standards and make sure others are adhering to policies.
- Provide input on construction schedules for assigned projects.
- Solicit, negotiate, and execute subcontracts and purchase orders with timely delivery to support the project schedule.
- Schedule and manage deliveries of materials and equipment. Maintain accurate receiving records and provide timely follow up to missing items, damaged goods, backorders, etc.
- Assist with planning and execution of self-performed work and managing labor crews and subcontractors. Plan sequencing, crew-sizes, productivity goals, and monthly labor spend. Execute work and track actual results, adjusting and refining forecasts to reflect actual production.
- Help complete all job closeout procedures including AHJ inspections, interconnection, testing, documentation, Owner’s Engineer revies, Independent Engineer reviews.
- Build trust and rapport with all Solar Landscape departments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project, and construction management software such as Dynamics 365.
- Strong understanding of commercial PV construction, including rooftop, ground-mount, and carport installations.
- Knowledge of behind-the-meter and utility interconnection processes.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented and self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
- Familiarity with construction safety standards; OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred.
- Valid driver’s license with willingness to travel to job sites as needed.
- Ability to climb ladders and access building rooftops.
- Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
