Job Definition
Administers the timely, accurate and complete accounting of business activity and transactional data as a shared service for the District. Assists in the design and application of business processes that ensure the District remains in compliance with accounting laws, regulations, and internal directives. Provides research and analysis to support the development of business processes that impact the District’s ability to account for assets, taxes, accounts payable, accounts receivable, labor and maintain the general ledger effectively while administering its internal controls over compliance, financial reporting, business applications and data governance. Supports the District’s core values as well is its cost and fiscal management strategic priorities.
Experience/Education
- Master's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field, AND
- Two (2) years of progressively more responsible payroll, accounting, or finance experience;
OR
- Active CPA or CMA License, AND
- Four (4) years of progressively more responsible payroll, accounting, or finance experience;
OR
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field, AND
- Four (4) years of progressively more responsible payroll, accounting, or finance experience.
