Dartmouth Health seeks an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our General Internal Medicine team as an Advanced Practice Provider Lead to provide primary care services at our Academic Main Campus, Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, New Hampshire. The Section of General Internal Medicine is an interprofessional academic group specializing in providing holistic, patient-centered, and relationship-based care to medically complex adults while shaping the future of the healthcare workforce. 

 

Working as part of a team is essential for this position. Prior advanced practice experience, including primary care, is desired.

 

The candidate hired into this role will perform the clinical duties of an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) while leading and managing other APP personnel in clinical, research, educational, consultative, and legislative arenas to support the mission and vision of the Department and DH. This role offers significant opportunities for professional growth and development.

 

The APP Lead will report directly to the General Internal Medicine Section Chief and to the Dartmouth Health Office of Advanced Practice Providers as a department representative. The APP Lead will also be expected to collaborate with other members of the GIM Leadership team, including the Nurse Manager and Practice Manager.

Required Licensure/Certifications

  •  Graduate of an accredited APRN or PA program.
  • NCCPA certification or board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) or American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
  • Eligible for APRN or PA licensure in the State of New Hampshire.
  • Eligible for Federal DEA Registration.
