As an Access Control Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will help maintain a welcoming, professional environment by monitoring entry points, verifying access credentials, and supporting visitors and employees. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, respond to access concerns, and provide exceptional customer service. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and employees by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor access points, verify credentials, manage visitor and contractor entry, and maintain accurate access-related logs and records for a commercial real estate location.
  • Respond to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including building entrances, common areas, parking facilities, and the property perimeter, to help identify unauthorized access or unusual activity.
  • Communicate professionally with site management, tenants, and Allied Universal leadership while documenting security-related observations, incidents, and daily activities.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
