Job Description

Our Global Corporate Functions team at Visa is looking for a senior financial analyst to join our amazing team. This role acts as a business partner to functional leaders and cultivates partnerships across functions to drive thought leadership and successfully enact all planning, budgeting, forecasting, and month-end reporting processes. This role presents results and provides insights and analysis to business partners and executives. The ideal candidate has a background in financial analysis, preferably with a public company, and proven results collaborating with team members and supported functions.

Essential Functions:

  • Owns the coordination and execution of quantitative and qualitative analyses. Examples of activities include traditional budgeting and forecasting, month end close and enhanced financial/business reporting, business case development and business planning support.
  • Establishes and manages relationships with a broad base of key stakeholders (i.e., executives and staff) in the business and serves as a key point of contact for finance issues.
  • Acquires and maintains a deep understanding of the strategies, priorities, and issues of the business.
  • Applies overall analytical skills and experience to become a highly valued business partner.
  • Demonstrates well-developed strategic, analytical, interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Is team oriented, collaborative, diplomatic, and flexible, with excellent presentation skills, including verbal and writing capabilities.
  • Operates autonomously and makes informed, well-reasoned decisions independently.
  • Identifies and implements changes that improve efficiency and effectiveness of decision making.
  • Thrives in an environment that is fast paced, constantly evolving, and customer focused.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
• 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications:
• 6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD
• B.S. or B.A. in Accounting or Finance, with 5+ years’ experience with a financial/analytical/consultative focus with progressively growing responsibility.
• Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to clearly communicate results with senior level executives.
• Can contribute new insights and solutions to business challenges for operating divisions as well as Finance while delivering excellent customer service.
• Budgeting and forecasting, month end close and process development skills necessary.
• Advanced level of Excel and PowerPoint required.
• Knowledge of sophisticated financial systems (e.g., Hyperion, TM1, etc.) is preferred.

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.
