About the Role

Storable is looking for a Solutions-Oriented Software Engineer who thrives on solving complex problems, building high-quality software, and delivering innovative solutions that meet both technical and customer needs. You’ll play a key role in shaping our Payments platform, with a focus on tokenization and migration of tokens, system integrations, and delivering scalable, validated solutions to real-world challenges.

What You’ll Be Doing

 

Key Responsibilities & Core Skills

• Strategic Problem Solving: Assess complex technical and business challenges, evaluate solution options, and execute end-to-end delivery—from design and coding through testing, validation, and deployment.
• Architecture & Scalability: Design and implement scalable enterprise services, ensuring reliability, observability, and adherence to best practices in monitoring, analytics, and CRUD operations.
• Platform Development: Contribute to the evolution of our payments platform, with a focus on scalability, security, performance, and maintainability.
• Tokenization & Migration: Lead the design and execution of secure tokenization and token migration processes, ensuring compliance, performance, and long-term system stability.
• Migration Automation: Build and manage automation tools and workflows to streamline migration tasks, reduce manual errors, and improve efficiency.
• Collaboration & Communication: Partner cross-functionally with engineering, product, and operations teams to define requirements, align priorities, and communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Development Practices: Apply Agile development principles, create clear documentation and technical guidelines, and contribute to sprint planning, retrospectives, and reviews.
• Quality & Reliability: Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code with sufficient coverage to ensure long-term platform stability and performance.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve system design, team processes, and delivery velocity while maintaining high-quality outcomes.
• Adaptability & Ownership: Thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment—adjusting technologies and approaches as business needs change and working independently with minimal supervision.
• Team Participation: Collaborate within a high-performing Scrum team to deliver new features, resolve complex issues, and drive innovation across the platform.

What You Need to Bring

Technical Expertise:

• 3+ years of hands-on Node.js backend API development and .NET Core development (total industry experience 3–5 years).
• Strong understanding of JavaScript fundamentals; 1+ year of React.js experience preferred.
• Experience with relational databases (required) and non-relational databases (preferred); able to write semi-complex SQL queries.
• Understanding of RESTful web services architecture, design, and implementation.

Nice to Have

• Payments industry or payment processing experience.
• Public cloud experience (AWS), Docker containers, Kubernetes, CI/CD.
• Familiarity with microservices and asynchronous event-driven architectures.
  
  

Experience with caching, asynchronous processing, and parallelization techniques.
