Data Modeling Intmd Analyst - C11 - NEW YORK

The IT Business Intermediate Analyst is an intermediate-level position responsible for liaising between business users and technologists to exchange information in a concise, logical and understandable way in coordination with the Technology team. Modeling analyst will engage with finance, tech, client org, and data engineering teams to gather requirements, understand application processing, identify gaps and align build models for business needs. Average day is highly collaborative, focusing on reaching out to application and users to understand client metrics and logic within their systems. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to continuous iterative exploration and investigation of business performance and other measures to gain insight and drive business planning.

Responsibilities:

• Formulate and define systems scope and project objectives through research activities and provide guidance to new or lower level analysts

• Analyze business client needs, document requirements and new technology, and derive test cases

• Build conceptual and logical data models for all metrics used in RoTCE

• Create a matrix of tactical vs strategic CSIs and frequency of data availability

• Implementation of stringent data quality rules to ensure accuracy, completeness and consistency of the financial data.

• Prepare reports, metrics and presentations and exchange ideas/information in a concise and logical manner between business units and IT

• Identify risk and consider business implications of the application of technology to the current business environment

• Test systems to ensure projects meet requirements and identify system problems to develop solutions based on analyses

• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

• 2-5 years of relevant experience

• Experience in data analysis with intermediate/advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills

• Sound knowledge about Accounting, Risk Management Concepts

• Technical Skills / Knowledge – Understand schema / models, can explain difference between conceptual, logical, physical models, relational models, understands inheritance concepts for models and has understanding of SDLC process

• Knowledge of applicable business systems and industry standards

• Proven analytical, data analysis, organization and presentation skills

• Consistently passionate for research, ideation and exploration with understanding of business analysis procedures and concept

• Technology experience – Open API specifications (Swagger), JSON schema, Github beneficial

• Soft Skills – Analytical thinking – ability to break down complex data structures and processes to identify issues and develop logical models that meet business needs.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience

• Engineering or Finance Graduate preferred

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$78,320.00 - $109,280.00
