Job Responsibilities
- Benefits Administration:
- Process and manage data entry for benefits enrollment, terminations, and employee changes in HR systems
- Serve as the point of contact for employee benefit inquiries, ensuring timely and accurate responses
- Assist in annual open enrollment and benefit plan changes
- Employee Support:
- Respond to employee questions related to HR policies, benefits, and other HR-related matters via email, chat, and phone
- Resolve basic employee issues and escalate more complex issues to HR leadership when necessary
- HR Data Management:
- Maintain and update employee records in HRIS and Active Directory (job titles, managers, addresses, etc.)
- Ensure data integrity and confidentiality when entering or updating employee information
- Generate reports from HR systems as needed for audits, compliance, or management reporting
- Onboarding & Offboarding:
- Support the coordination of new hire onboarding, including collecting required paperwork, scheduling orientations, and setting up system access
- Manage the offboarding process, ensuring exit checklists are completed and final paperwork is processed
- Conduct exit interviews and summarize feedback for HR leadership
- Compliance & Record Keeping:
- Assist in maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
- Ensure employee files are organized, updated, and stored in accordance with company policies and legal requirements
- Assist with the preparation of documentation for audits and other HR compliance initiatives
- Policy & Procedure Updates:
- Assist in updating employee handbooks, job descriptions, and internal HR documentation
- Help communicate policy changes to employees and ensure understanding of key updates
- Employee Engagement:
- Assist in planning and coordinating employee engagement activities, wellness programs, and team-building events
- Gather feedback on employee satisfaction and participate in initiatives to enhance company culture
- Other Duties as Assigned:
- Support various HR projects, such as performance management, training and development initiatives, or diversity and inclusion efforts
- Assist with special assignments, research, or other HR-related duties as needed to support the overall function of the HR team
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in HR and operations, with a strong understanding of HR policies and procedures
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational and project management skills
- Demonstrated success with problem-solving and leveraging analytical skills for organizational success
Preferred Qualifications
- HR Certification (PHR, SHRM-CP)
Compensation: $60,000 - $85,000
