Responsibilities

Network Administrator will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation, security, and integrity of the hospital’s network infrastructure. This includes managing, maintaining, and optimizing the hospital’s network systems, supporting clinical and administrative staff, and ensuring continuous network connectivity for critical healthcare operations. This role requires independent responsibility, discretion, and decision-making on critical tasks, with minimal oversight. It involves prioritizing tasks, managing time efficiently, and consistently meeting deadlines.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

 

Required qualifications:

 

·         Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

·         3+ years of experience in network administration, preferably in a healthcare or similarly regulated environment.

·         Strong knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).

·         Experience with Cisco, Juniper, or similar networking equipment.

·         Familiarity with healthcare IT standards, including HIPAA compliance.

·         Experience with network monitoring and diagnostic tools.

·         Understands hospital business operations and structure, general requirements in an integrated delivery system, and use of IT applications in the practicing healthcare environment.

·         Open to travel when required.

 

Preferred qualifications:

 

·         Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), CompTIA Network+, or equivalent.

·         Proficiency in network security tools and protocols (firewalls, intrusion detection systems).

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $22.00 to $31.86. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
