Here at Lakeside Foods, our Maintenance Technician/Mechanic Team is the backbone of our operations, ensuring equipment runs optimally while maintaining the facility. Maintenance Technicians/Mechanics are respected “Jack of All Trades” team members, performing troubleshooting on electrical/electronics and minor mechanical and/or fabrication updates and using their knowledge to improve production processes. What You’ll Do:

• Responsible for the efficient flow of product through the assigned area and assist in the repair and maintenance of all machinery in the assigned area.
• Perform and carry out building and ground maintenance duties.
• Lubricate machinery when necessary and when scheduled.
• Must have general knowledge of electrical maintenance and understand basic lighting circuit principles, and be able to remove and replace blown fuses.
• Must be able to pass a Forklift Operator's exam.
• Must be able to identify and use different metals based on the application.
• Must be able to identify power transmission components and be able to diagnose minor equipment failures and repairs, including items such as chains, sprockets, hydraulic hoses, belts, etc.
• Must be able to properly and safely use oxy-acetylene cutting and welding equipment.
• Must demonstrate willingness to learn and become familiar with sheet metal fabrication, electrical trouble shooting, hydraulic systems, welding (Arc, TIG, MIG), and HVAC (Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning) systems.

 

What You’ll Bring:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one to two years related experience and/or training.
