The Lourie Center Head Start, Adventist HealthCare seeks to hire and experienced Head Start Lead Teacher, who will embrace our mission to extend God's care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing. Qualified candidates will be eligible for up to a $2000 sign-on bonus.
The Lourie Center Head Start (LCHS) program is a federally funded, community-based program for low-income families as well as pregnant women with children from birth to five years old. The program serves children with disabilities, children in foster care and families that are homeless.
As the Head Start Lead Teacher you will:
• Use assessment data analyzed by teacher teams in Teaching Strategies GOLD to guide curriculum, transition, and individual/group plan decisions.
• Implement the Tools of the Mind curriculum with the guidance from the Reggio Emilia philosophy to promote children's development and learning.
• In collaboration with each child's parent and with parental consent complete the ASQ-3 and ASQ - SE to identify concerns regarding a child's developmental, behavioral, motor, language, social, cognitive, and emotional skills during a home visit.
• Prioritize the health/safety and social/emotional well-being for children in the program and to promote a culture of excellence and family.
• Attend and participate in all scheduled trainings such as community of practices, engage in coaching cycles with assigned coach, reflective supervision and in collaboration with the director develop PDP for own professional development.
Qualifications Include:
• Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development or related field required
• 1 year experience in the field required, 3 years' experience preferred.
• 90-hour course infant/toddler certification preferred.
• Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
Work Schedule:
Monday-Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm

*Current AHC employees are not eligible for a sign-on bonus who are transferring from one entity to another and/or transferring within their entity. Employees that have terminated their employment with AHC are not eligible for a sign-on bonus prior to six months of returning if hired for a position offering a sign-on bonus.

Pay Range:
$41,299.19 - $58,302.40
In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount or if the position is Per Diem (offering a fixed rate), salary discussions will occur during the screening process.
