About the role

Insight Digital Innovation is seeking a full-time Principal Data Engineer who can work collaboratively with a diverse team of experts to solve complex business challenges using innovative thinking and modern technology. As a Principal Software Engineer you will:

• Design and develop cutting-edge enterprise data solutions in a fast-paced environment
• Lead discussions with clients and recommend technical solutions for business cases
• Design and code modern solutions to tough data challenges leveraging the cloud
• Lead and collaborate with sharp, passionate teammates, provide feedback on others’ work, and encourage innovation and best practices internally and externally

What we’re looking for

• Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders/clients, including active listening, critical thinking, presentation skills, coaching, empathy, dependability, and creativity. Experience talking to people in various industries and corporate levels including C-Levels, Engineers, Business Intelligence Analysis, Business Unit Leaders, Field workers.
• Cloud/Data Analytics including Microsoft Fabric and Microsoft Data Services including OneLake, Azure Data Warehouse, SQL DB, SQL VMs, Purview, Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, 
• Databricks including Unity Catalog, Delta Lake 
• Visualization tools including extensive Power BI experience, with Tableau, Qlik, and SSRS a plus.
