The Senior Financial Analyst serves as the point person for the Site Finance Department on multiple cross-functional systems and continuous improvement projects. They gather and analyze data from various sources in a timely manner and make recommendations to assist with site performance and decision-making.
How you’ll spend your day
- Regularly review and detail expense revisions (invoices, cross charges, etc.), identify inconsistencies or errors, and initiate corrections as needed.
- Maintain regular communication with cost center managers, provide reporting, and ensure all corrections are posted.
- Analyze actual manufacturing costs and prepare periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs.
- Support the month-end close process.
- Participate in additional projects and/or ad hoc analysis as requested.
- Complete all training requirements and maintain compliance with all assignments.
- Maintain work areas and perform job functions in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with company policies and procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP’s), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s), and Batch Record instructions.
- Perform additional related duties as assigned.
Your experience and qualifications
Any equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience that fulfills the requirements of the position will be considered.
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education/experience in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, preferably in pharmaceutical manufacturing or a related industry
- Extensive manufacturing experience with standard costing is preferred
- Understanding of the manufacturing environment and the associated financial processes
- Highly advanced Excel skills and proficiency with MS Office products and ERP systems such as SAP or Hyperion
- Ability to effectively communicate financial information and concepts to management and non-financial personnel
- Excellent analytical skills with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail
- Self-directed with ability to organize and prioritize work
- Ability to work with ambiguity and see issues through to resolution
- Ability to effectively handle multiple competing priorities and manage deadlines under pressure
- Strong communication skills
