The opportunity

The Senior Financial Analyst serves as the point person for the Site Finance Department on multiple cross-functional systems and continuous improvement projects. They gather and analyze data from various sources in a timely manner and make recommendations to assist with site performance and decision-making.

How you’ll spend your day

• Regularly review and detail expense revisions (invoices, cross charges, etc.), identify inconsistencies or errors, and initiate corrections as needed.
• Maintain regular communication with cost center managers, provide reporting, and ensure all corrections are posted.
• Analyze actual manufacturing costs and prepare periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs.
• Support the month-end close process.
• Participate in additional projects and/or ad hoc analysis as requested.
• Complete all training requirements and maintain compliance with all assignments.
• Maintain work areas and perform job functions in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with company policies and procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP’s), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s), and Batch Record instructions.
• Perform additional related duties as assigned.

Your experience and qualifications

Any equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience that fulfills the requirements of the position will be considered. 

 

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education/experience in Accounting or Finance
• Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, preferably in pharmaceutical manufacturing or a related industry
• Extensive manufacturing experience with standard costing is preferred
• Understanding of the manufacturing environment and the associated financial processes
• Highly advanced Excel skills and proficiency with MS Office products and ERP systems such as SAP or Hyperion
• Ability to effectively communicate financial information and concepts to management and non-financial personnel
• Excellent analytical skills with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail
• Self-directed with ability to organize and prioritize work
• Ability to work with ambiguity and see issues through to resolution
• Ability to effectively handle multiple competing priorities and manage deadlines under pressure
• Strong communication skills
