Senior Data Engineer

<p>We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our IP One Data team. This is an amazing opportunity to help shape, grow and support our expanding APIs and ETL/ELT frameworks within our fully cloud native environment, leveraging the latest in serverless technologies. This role reports to the Manager of Data Engineering. </p><p><br/>We have a well-rounded global team skilled in data engineering, data science, and architecture; we would love to speak with you if you have skills in python and ETL/ELT or microservice development.        </p><p>                 <br/>About You - Experience, education and skills:<br/>•   Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience<br/>•   3+ years of experience working in Unix/Linux environments<br/>•   2+ years of experience using Docker and Kubernetes<br/>•   2+ years of experience with AWS cloud services (EKS, EC2, S3, SQS, RDS, Lambda)<br/>•   3+ years of experience programming using Python, PHP for data development<br/>•   3+ years of experience with SQL databases (eg Oracle, MySQL)<br/>•   Experience working with global product and development teams</p><p></p><p>It would be great if you also had:<br/>•   2+ years working on an Agile development team<br/>•   2+ years leading projects driving them to completion<br/>•   2+ years of experience with data pipelines / ETL<br/>•   2+ years of experience with SqlAlchemy, Pytest, Requests, Bash scripting<br/>•   Experience with Sphinx/Manticore indexes</p><p></p><p>What will you be doing in this role?<br/>•   Write and maintain python code to develop ETL processes to process large amounts of data<br/>•   Create innovative solutions to collect, clean, validate, aggregate and index IP data<br/>•   Develop and implement technical designs and data structures<br/>•   Drive code review, test, and deployment processes<br/>•   Work and coordinate development activities with teams in various locations</p><p></p><p>Products you will be developing / supporting<br/>•   New ETL services, maintaining existing ETL services that provide data for our Patent Intelligence products<br/>•   New API services, maintenance of existing API services for internal and external clients<br/>•   New microservices, updating and supporting existing microservices</p><p></p><p>About the Team  <br/>We are a geo-diverse team of ten data software engineers that work together with our product team and integration partners to design and develop and support our robust and growing data-driven service portfolio. </p><p></p><p>Hours of Work </p><p>This is a full-time, permanent contract (40 hours per week with flexibility)</p><p>Hybrid model (2-3 per week working from our Barcelona Office)</p><p></p><p>What we can offer</p><ul><li><p>30 working days of vacation</p></li><li><p>Volunteering community, with 40 paid hours of volunteering time</p></li><li><p>Private Health and Life &amp; Disability insurances.</p></li><li><p>Tax-free benefits (Ticket Restaurant scheme, kindergarten, and transport cards)</p></li><li><p>On-site language classes (Catalan, Spanish and English)</p></li></ul><p></p><p>At Clarivate, we are committed to providing equal employment opportunities for all persons with respect to hiring, compensation, promotion, training, and other terms, conditions, and privileges of employment.
