Responsibilities:

  • Prepares consolidated internal and external financial statements by gathering and analyzing information from the general ledger system and from departments; provides accurate and timely financial information to all stakeholders.

  • Leads the monthly financial reporting and analysis for the manufacturing location. Including, but not limited to, budget-to-actual variances and future monthly forecasts.

  • Performs cost accounting by creating and maintaining product Bill of Material and Routing.

  • Supports continuous improvement (Lean / Six Sigma) by verifying and reporting savings.

  • Analyzes manufacturing variances and supports business to reduce variances.

  • Generates cost center reports and analyzes expenses.

  • Prepares general ledger entries by maintaining records and files; reconciling accounts.

  • Prepares journal entries; assigns account numbers; requests disbursements; and reconciles accounts.

  • Coordinates annual audits, single point of contact with internal and external financial auditors.

  • Assists in budget preparations and forecasting.

  • Analyzes information and options by developing spreadsheet reports; verifying information.

  • Answers accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data.

  • Assists in inventory management and accuracy including physical inventory and cycle counts.

  • Performs ad-hoc financial analysis or other related projects as assigned.

  • Leading Corporate accounting projects aligned with finance policy deployment matrix.

  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications.

  • Tracks and reports on efficiency improvements including manufacturing and vendor performance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or other business-related field

  • 3 to 7 years related accounting experience

  • CPA preferred, but not required

  • Knowledge of IFRS reporting standards

  • Experience with Hyperion and SAP financial software

  • Month-end close process, documentation, journal entries, and account reconciliations

  • Experience in performing financial analysis

  • Knowledge of standard cost manufacturing systems and production variance analysis

  • Well organized, detail orientated and able to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision

  • Energetic, forward-thinking with high ethical standards

  • Ability to manage competing priorities and delivering on committed deadlines

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly convey information, change initiatives and ideas to diverse audiences

  • High level of customer focus and self-initiative
