Description
The Jackson Institute for Global Affairs and the Economic Growth Center (EGC) at Yale are seeking applications for a visiting scholar position in international development for the 2021-22 academic year. A spring semester or calendar year 2022 appointment is also possible.
Appointments as visiting assistant/associate/full professor and lecturer will be considered.
The visiting scholar will conduct independent research and collaborate with Jackson Institute and EGC faculty, contributing to the intellectual life within and between the centers. In the spring semester, the visiting scholar will be expected to teach Approaches to International Development, a core course for undergraduate students in Yale’s Global Affairs major. The successful candidate may also be involved in multiple EGC data-oriented initiatives.
This is a full-time position. Scholars will be expected to be in full-time residence at Yale for the duration of their appointment.
Compensation is competitive and includes health insurance and other benefits afforded to visiting scholars at Yale.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated ability in conducting high quality, policy-relevant research on topics in international development and economics.
